Northwest Day 12 - Carnation, WA

So our next stop was going to be East Kent, a mega park just outside of Seattle. It was time to find a campground and be sure that we would be set for the night so we tried to find the state park on the map that said camping… We followed the signs and when we finally arrived there was no camping.

I love how they don’t let you know from the HWY that the camping was closed off when you drive 45 minutes out of your way… Oh well, I was thinking it was gonna be sketchy up here. WA does not seem to have as much BLM land and much of the area where skateparks are is pretty populated.

We decided to put Kent on hold and head up North a bit to where it was more rural. We arrived in Carnation, WA around 5:00 and were lucky to find a campsite literally across the street from the skatepark.

This one is also grindline tha features all kinds of different levels, from 4’-10’ with a oververt/taco and pipe/hand poured concrete coping. I should say that Carnation and Milton are both Whiting, IN era parks. Very similar pour and similar transitions… Although the build quality of these parks are better.
