Northwest Day 11 - Vancouver, WA and Battleground, WA

SO after a night of many trains running next to the camp site we awoke in a weary state. It was one of those mornings. We packed up and headed towards Washington state. The plan is to move on up the state passing Seattle and arriving in Orcas Island by Wednesday or Thursday, hopefully camp on the Island and then stay with Cappetto's bud in Seattle for the weekend.

As I keep saying camping is difficult on weekends because everyone reserves the sites and then we are out... Washington does not have much free camping so we have to be careful about where we are and when..

Vancouver, WA is just over the border, only a few minutes North of Portland. This was our first stop. It was a cool park. Big and open, very simple but gnar. The deep end must be 10 or 11' with a huge cradle. That once again, Galloway went over like a door... Nuts!

When we arrived there was a skate camp going on and lots of kids dropping in everywhere. Probably because they just learned how. The teachers were also kind of vibing us and trying rediculous stuff that ended in a bail each time. We took some runs and rode the park for about an hour but it kept getting more and more snakey and busy so it was time to move on.

We may hit it up early tomorrow or on the way back down.
