Northwest Day 11 - Battleground, WA

We moved on down the road only about 20 minutes to Battleground, WA. This is an amazing park. It is immense and the street course is one of the largest I have seen next to Etnies or even Davenport..

There are so many features, it looks like you hit 3 or 4 sets of obstacles as you move on to the Burnside bank w/loveseat at the end.

The bowls are rad as well. The have a massive cradle, within one of the biggest flow bowls I have seen as well. It starts off as a micro and gradually dumps into a 11' square pool. Lots of pockets and channels and big stuff to schralp on the way down. Complete with 3" black pipe coping.

There was a family of vert skaters there ripping the deep when we arrived. The dad looked like a taller version of Salba. I'll have to look him up...

My personal favorite is a "+" shaped pool with four pockets and all pool block. You really have to use the hips because there is no waterfall so the return to the shallow could cause you to loose speed if you are not careful with the return line. But once you figure this one out it is all gravy!!

We got a campsite in very near by Battleground Lake State Park. The only bummer is that you have to hike your stuff in. It adds to the fatigue of the day but we are all good now. I had a coffee shop break and am going back for a nice night sesh now. Onward to Tacoma tomorrow.

I see that the bikes took care of all the ledges with the pegs already, it looks like a place I would have a blast at and also get really annoyed with the patrons.

I am leavin for the trip this Sunday. Is it cool if I shve your cat so that he looks like a lion? Dacia is getting sick of all his hair.

We are collecting all the hair he sheds and are going to knit mittens for poor people to use in the winter.
