So the other day we had a shit-ton of rain in Chi overnight. Luckily the park was dry but it was kinda hot and I just wasn't feelin' it. A few of us decided to check out the beach and low and behold, one massive freakin' puddle. This is as close to Wild In The Streams as we can get out here. Big Fun!!
So Calabro, Young Alex, Marion and I got some slip and slide in. Alex and Marion never skimmed before and immediately were better than me. Oh well, I was shocked but not shocked as they are both very talented skateboarders. Alex couldn't do the throw and leap so he just did an acid drop and coasted further than most of us!! Marion did a shove-it on his second run ever and was doing laidback 360's and such by the end of the day. Good stuff.
Later that day (Saturday), we celebrated Mike Owen's 25th B-day. Happy Birfday RIPPER!!
